WALKINSHAW ANDRETTI UNITED

Walkinshaw Andretti United is a motorsport team formed from Walkinshaw Racing, Andretti Autosport, and United Autosports, with operations in Australia, America, and Europe.

In 2023, WAU underwent significant changes. They launched the new era Gen3 Supercar in partnership with Ford, ending a three-decade relationship with Holden. Additionally, the team expanded by launching the Walkinshaw Andretti United Foundation Academy, reintroducing the Dunlop Super2 Series program, and introducing the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Series

In 2024, the team achieved significant success, finishing third in the Teams Championship, the highest position since 2016, with Ryan Wood joining veteran Chaz Mostert.

Walkinshaw Racing

Since 1976, Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) has competed globally, amassing numerous championships, race wins, and over 1000 podium results.

In Australia, Walkinshaw’s involvement spans over three decades, starting with the Holden Special Vehicles racing program in 1988. TWR’s first Australian race was in 1984 with Mobil-backed Rovers at the Bathurst 1000. The Holden Racing Team (HRT), born from TWR’s relationship with Holden in 1987, secured seven Bathurst wins and six driver championships. The team re-emerged as Walkinshaw Andretti United, continuing its legacy.

Andretti Autosport

Andretti Autosport, led by Michael Andretti, fields entries in IndyCar, Indy Lights, Formula E, and Global Rallycross. The team has won four IndyCar Series championships, three Indy Lights titles, one Pro Mazda championship, and one USF2000 championship. They have also secured five Indianapolis 500 victories, two X Games Gold Medals, and two Global Rallycross championships

United Autosports

United Autosports, owned by Zak Brown and Richard Dean, is a championship-winning team known for its success in various international events. They have won the European Le Mans Series LMP3 in 2016 and 2017 and have competed in prestigious races worldwide, including the British GT Championship, Spa 24 Hours, and Daytona 24 Hours.

WAU are one of the most successful teams in the history of Australian touring car racing. In 2021, Mobil 1 signed to continue their successful partnership to beyond the 30-year mark.
